11/27 Surf Day 2019 update: --- great promo by Todd Corayer in latest edition of Fish Wrap Writer. If you're not on the distribution, check it out at fishwrapwriter.com --- vendor tables - 22 tables sold (12 club members / 7 outside vendors), 7 tables currently open --- food - 1 volunteer to make chili, seeking a volunteer to make clam chowder. Also planning to have meatball grinders, hot dogs, drinks, etc
Any suggestions for new vendor contacts (and any other ideas for the event) would be appreciated (please call/text me at 401-330-0449). Past Surf Day events have set a very high bar, almost all of the contacts from past events have made unsolicited comments about what a great event this is and they are looking forward to 2019.

Sold 3 more tables this week, 4 left. Please spread the word among club members and anyone else who may have an interest in participating. Would hate to see interested club member lose out!

I like the EVENTS add on Craigslist. We should place the same add on Craigslist under "SPORTING" and "BOATING". That's the sweet spot for the fishing crowd !!

Happy to report that vendor tables are "Sold Out". Many returnees but a few new vendors also. It appears we'll have a good mix of both new and used equipment (as advertised).
Got to say, hats off to Cliff (and all those who also contributed to this event through the years whose names I do not know) for establishing the reputation Surf Day enjoys within the fishing community. Most people that I spoke with had nothing but high praise for the event AND the people who run it.
After New Year we'll be looking to line up some volunteers - set up/breakdown room, serving food (food prep already covered), greeting guests at the door/take tickets, etc. Goal is to get enough people involved so a few do not get stuck with an overwhelming task.
Looking forward to tomorrow evening!

Does the club have a table available where club members can sell items with all the proceeds going to the club? Just curious.

We are full this year, we should consider for next year, though. Seems like good idea that would make more money for the club than a vendor table at $30.

Richie Reich Gansett Custom Tackle Much appreciated Richie.....a bit reluctant to mention names here (except 3 I'll mention at the end) because I know I'll forget someone. Suffice it to say, several people contributed their time and talents to make the show a success. A well-deserved special shout out, though, to Dottie Vickers, Diane Durand and my wife, Brenda, for their work behind the scenes in the kitchen.
