By the time March 2019 rolls around, we'll be chomping at the bit to hear news about schoolie sightings at the west wall, only to grudgingly accept that it will be a at least a few more weeks. To help assuage your anxiety, check out the Allman Brothers Tribute show at Kingston Courthouse on March 9 by Capricorn. a CT-based classic rock band. I met Capricorn when our first son was born (yeah, full disclosure my son is one of 2 drummers in the band) and have been impressed with their music since the core 3 formed a band when they met as freshmen at the regional high school. I fondly remember weekend nights, and most summer nights, listening to them bang, toot and wail away in our basement. When they began to figure things out, the lead guitar's father (a tremendous and fanatical musician) took them under his wing and formed The Guy Malone Band. That was 20 years ago. Today, Capricorn is the melding of Guy Malone (the original 3) plus the father and 2 members of his band. So the 6 of them call themselves Capricorn and have been performing the Allman Brothers Tribute show all over CT (most notably Infinity Hall venues in Norfolk and Hartford).
